Lowell Youth Lacrosse offers two programs for players determined by their grade level.

LITTLE STIX: PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN

Little Stix is our introductory learn to play lacrosse program designed for boys not yet in grade school. Players will be taught the very basics of the sport (ground balls, throwing, cradling, catching), with a strong emphasis on fun. These sessions are once a week, beginning once there is appropriate weather for the age group. The only equipment is a stick which will be provided. At Little Stix, we have music blaring and a dance party or two has been known to break out. Kindergarteners, especially those in Year 2 of Little Stix, will have the opportunity to play against each other in controlled mini-games towards the end of the season.

CLASSIC LACROSSE: GRADES 1 - 8 (1/2 Team, 3/4 Team, 5/6 Team, 7/8 Team)

Lowell Youth Lacrosse is a member of Mass Youth Lacrosse (MYL). On our Classic Lacrosse teams there is still an emphasis on fun, but now the boys will also now be taught to compete. Practices are held twice a week. Each team will play 8 total games (4 home, 4 away) against other towns. Generally away games are no more than 30 mins away, and often in the MVC. Every year we have new players join all of our teams, experience is not necessary.
